Let the Season Begin!  

On September 23rd, at 4pm, we officially kick off the 2013-2014 Swimming Season!


Annual Fall Triathlon

On Saturday, September 28th, the Swim team will host it's annual Fall Triathlon!  The race begins at 8am at the Paul Harvey Pool (in Baker Fergusson Fitness Center).  The race consists of a 500 yard swim, 10 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.  Entry fees are $20 for individuals and $30 for teams now until September 20th, and $30 for individuals and $45 for teams from September 21st-28th.  All participants will receive a race t-shirt, snacks, and entry to win awesome raffle prizes!  

Saturday, October 26th, 10am @ Whitman: Whitman Alumni Meet

The annual Whitman alumni meet will be a head to head showdown of Whitman's best swimmers and Whitman's former talent.  As always, it's sure to be a fun and exciting start to the season!

Friday, Nov. 1st, 5pm, @ Pacific Lutheran University: Sprint Pentathlon

Northwest Conference Competition starts off with the annual NWC Sprint Pentathlon.  Every NWC school will be in attendance!  Each swimmer will compete in a 50 of each stroke and a 100 IM.  Each swimmer's time from each event are then added up and the fastest cumulative time wins!

Saturday, Nov. 2nd, 11am, @ University of Puget Sound: NWC Relays

Following Friday's fun, the NWC Relay meet is another fun way to get into some collegiate competition.  Swimmers compete in mixed (two men, two women) medley and freestyle relays, as well 3 x 100 relays of each stroke, and a 3 x 100 IM relay.  

Friday, Nov. 8th, 6pm @ Linfield College: Whitman vs. Linfield Dual Meet

Whitman kick's off the 2013-2014 dual meet season with a meet against Linfield College in McMinnville, OR.  

Saturday, Nov. 9th, 1pm @ Willamette: Whitman vs. Willamette Dual Meet

NWC dual meet competition continues against Willamette University, in Salem, OR.  


Tuesday, Nov. 12th, 5pm @ Whitman: Ted Mullin Hour of Power Relay

The 2013 Hour of Power Relay is a nation-wide fundraiser and awareness raiser for Sarcoma cancer research.  The event, now in its 8th year, was started after Carleton College swimmer, Ted Mullin, passed away after a several year battle with Sarcoma.  For 60 minutes, the Whitman swim team and hundreds of other college, club, and high school teams across the country participate in an all-out, non-stop relay.  The funds raised in the event benefit the University of Chicago Medical Center's Comer Children's Hospital.  Learn more about the event by clicking here.


Friday, Nov. 15th, 6pm @ Whitman: Whitman vs. Lewis & Clark Dual Meet

Whitman hosts its first home NWC Dual Meet of the season against Lewis & Clark College!  It's sure to be a loud, fun evening of racing!  See you there!

Saturday, Nov. 16th, 1pm @ Whitamn: Whitman vs. Pacific Dual Meet

Whitman squares off against Pacific University in it's final home NWC Dual of the semester.  It's sure to be a close and exciting meet!  

Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 10am, Swimmers are released for Thanksgiving 


Friday, Dec. 6th-Sunday Dec. 8th, all day @ Husky Invitational

The Whitman swim teams head to the King County Aquatic Center for the Husky Invitational.  


Friday, Dec. 20th, 2pm, First Semester courses end, swimmers are released 

January, California Training Trip in Claremont, CA (details TBD)


Friday, Jan. 17th, 6pm @ Whitman, Pacific Lutheran University Dual Meet

The Whitman swimmers face off against NWC rivals Pacific Lutheran University in the penultimate NWC dual meet of the season!  It will almost certainly be one of the best match-ups of the season!

Saturday, Jan. 18th, 12pm @ Whitman, University of Puget Sound Dual Meet

Whitman's final home NWC dual meet of the season is Senior day for our Whitman Swimmers.  As we honor the class of 2014 for their accomplishments in the pool and the classroom, we will also be expecting a very tight contest between the two schools!  We expect the last home meet of the season to be incredibly exciting!

Feb. 14th-16th @ King County Aquatic Center: Northwest Conference Championships.

The 2014 NWC Championships is hosted by Whitman this year!  The event will take place at King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA.  As always, the NWC Championships will be an incredible weekend of racing!  Prelims start at 10am, Friday-Sunday.  Finals start at 6pm on Friday and Saturday, 5pm on Sunday.  

March 19th-22nd @ IUPUI Natatorium: NCAA DIII National Championships

The four-day NCAA DIII National Championships are held in the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, IN.
